Prepare for region bosses with level, health, attack, map location, experience, and normal or Hard Mode reward information.

Treat a boss as a route test, not another random encounter

Prepare before crossing the threshold

Bosses sit at important progression points. Reaching one with low health, an unfinished loadout, or too little damage can waste the Adventure Points invested in the route. Before entering, compare the boss's health and attack with the regular enemies you can defeat comfortably. If normal encounters already require many turns, the boss is likely to expose the same weakness more severely.

Spend gold where it solves a clear problem. More attack can shorten the fight and reduce incoming damage, while health and defense provide room for unlucky exchanges. Equipment effects, character multipliers, and permanent bonuses can change which option has the greatest impact.

Use rewards to plan the next run

A boss reward is valuable not only for its immediate stats but also for the route it helps unlock or the collection progress it starts. Open a boss entry to see its map and known drops, then follow the item link to compare the reward against your current equipment and permanent collection goals.

Hard Mode values should be evaluated separately. A strategy that barely succeeds in Normal Mode is not a reliable Hard Mode plan. Build a safety margin, confirm that your strongest equipment occupies the correct slots, and avoid spending the last useful Adventure Points on optional farming immediately before the fight.
